Who We Are

We're a small team of pet lovers and developers who share one thing in common: we obsess over the wellbeing of our animals. Between us, we have dogs, cats, and yes, rabbits — and each one of them has sat next to us while we built this site.

Our team combines backgrounds in software development, veterinary science communication, and content writing. We're based in the United States, but our passion for accurate, accessible pet care information is global.

💡

Why We Built This

It started with a simple Google search: "how old is my dog in human years?" The results were full of the same inaccurate "multiply by 7" formula that's been passed around for decades — a myth with no scientific foundation. One of our team members was trying to explain to their vet why their 9-year-old Labrador seemed so much "older" than the 63 human years the 7x rule suggested, and their vet confirmed: the real answer was more like 70.

We were frustrated. The accurate, breed-specific formula based on AVMA and AKC guidelines existed — it was just buried in veterinary textbooks. We wanted to bring it to every pet owner, for free, in a clean and easy-to-use tool.

That's how FreeDogAgeCalculator.com was born. We then added cat and rabbit calculators because we couldn't stop, and because those pet owners deserved accurate information too.
